Smile Sets Everything!

Hello everyone!Welcome back to my tiny little space :)
Today I'm sharing a card inspired by the song - Boyzone 'Words'. I love that song and I took the main word 'Smile'. Yep! 'Smile for everything' - whether you are happy or going through any rough situations, just 'smile' because it sets everything straight. :)

To make this card, I sponged the card stock panel with Manganese Archival Ink. And to get that wash of colour, I have a tip for you. Just spray any perfume or deodorant on to the Archival or non-water based inks - the alcohol in the perfume/deodorant reacts with the ink and gives that wash effect just as distress inks. :)

Then I added splatters of gold paint. On to some vellum card stock, I stamped the leaves from Altenew Floral Motifs stamp set and colored them with gold paint, fussy cut them and kept it aside. Later I cut two strips of card stocks, colored one of the strips with gold paint and the other with light blue ink. Finally stamped the sentiment and adhered everything together.

I'm entering this card for Altenew February Challenge: From Places Abroad – Cyprus - I was very much inspired by the colors, Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Inspired By A Song, Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes and Peek-a-booChallenge # 3 : Tic-Tac-Toe- I chose second column - sequin/gold/striped element.

Edited - I literally forgot about this challenge and I want to enter my card now. Better late than never, right! I'm entering this card for w&w Belated 2nd Birthday Bash | Gold + Watercolor Challenge with Heather H

I hope you like my card. Thank you so much for stopping by. Take care and I'll see you very soon :)

Hero Arts - Flowers!

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing three floral cards for Hero Arts Flower Challenge. All these cards were made using Small Petal Flower Stamp from Hero Arts and Light and dark colored pigment inks from Mama Elephant and Tsukineko respectively.

I stamped the images with light and dark pink pigment inks and colored two of the images with the same color. I sponged the lower side portion with Grey Ink and finally stamped the sentiment. And for the interest I added splatters of gold ink and pink ink. :)

Here comes the second one! I masked off the lower portion and did the same thing as my previous one. :)

And here is the third card :)

Also entering these cards for Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge.

I hope you like these cards and do let me know which one is your favorite? Would love to hear from you. Thank you so much for stopping by.

Take care and I'll see you next time :)

Celebrate!

Welcome to the second post of the day. If you want to see my first post, kindly click here.

I had this Jane's Doodles stamp in my stash for quite a long time and I never had a chance to use it before. So last night I decided - I want to use these stamps and made this sweet little with those 'sweety' stamps. I'm loving this set :)

This is a one layer card, masked off the edges and sponged Spice Marmalade Distress Ink and to add a interest I flicked some water droplets on to the panel and picked up the color using a tissue. I love how the water reacts with distress ink and gives that beautiful result. While the panel was drying, I stamped the images on to some white card stock and water colored them with Faber Castell Connector Pens. Finally added the sentiment and Crystal Stickles from Ranger.

I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by. See you very soon :)

To a Cool Friend

Hello and Good Morning, everyone! Well.. I'm back to my routine - making cards for the challenges. Oh! how I missed all these challenges!!!

I made this card last night and took photographs in the early morning! so kindly excuse my not so good photographs ;)

Story :- This little birdie is celebrating her birthday and the other birdie is getting some presents for her. I love how they are celebrating on 'leaves' . Silly guys! huh! :P

I stamped all the images on to some white card stock and water - colored them with Faber Castell Markers. If you want to know how I water colored with those markers, kindly watch the video HERE.

Then fussy cut out everything leaving a little white border, this little white border adds so much depth to the image. Then on to the main panel, it's a one layer card, I masked and sponged Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and finally I added Sequins from Avery Elle and Crystal Stickles from Ranger. Oh yeah! All these stamps are from Lawn Fawn :)

I hope you like this card. Thank you so much for stopping by.
See you soon :)

Hero Arts 'Hello'

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the Hero Arts - A Blog Named Hero FB page Inspiration. I love having critters on my cards. Do you also like having them?

To make this card, I took Neenah Solar White Cardstock, masked the lower portion and ink blended with Black Soot Distress ink. Then onto some regular cardstock, I stamped the critters from Baby Animals and Cake from Best Wishes stamp sets, water-colored them with Faber Castell Water color pencils and adhered them on to the card panel as if they were dancing. :)

Next I took some black paint and flicked onto the card panel. Then assembled the whole card with a pattern paper. And that's it.

I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by! :)

Valentine's Day Cards with Varna's Stamps

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing fine. I'm here today with three Valentine's Day cards made using Varna's Stamp. Before getting started, I would like to share that Varna's did not ask me to make cards using their stamps, in fact I purchased these gorgeous stamps recently as I wanted it to give them a try. She is so generous, she sent a freebie along with my order. Thanks :)

Varna's stamp company is an Indian based stamp company. They manufacture high quality photo polymer stamps. I was very much impressed by the quality of their stamps. It is really good and fantastic. I highly encourage you to check their stamps and if you are interested in making your own custom stamps, they are ready to do it too. Kindly check their FB page for more details.

Here are the three cards I was talking about. I kept them quite simple with ink blending and heat embossing.

'where there is love there is life'. What I love about these stamps are - they have a very beautiful love quotes. Not only perfect for valentine's day but for any occasion.

I hand drew and hand cut the tag and ink blended with Picked Raspberry and Festive berries distress inks. Added tiny drops of water. Love how the water reacts with distress inks. Then heat embossed the sentiment with Gold Embossing Powder. Finally on to the main card base, I splattered the gold ink and adhered the tag once the card base was dry.

'True Love is like Diamond. it's rare, beautiful and lasts forever'

On to the main card base, I sponged the Tim-Holtz dots stencil with Brushed Pewter Distress Stain. Then adhered a strip of light blue glitter washi tape. Then took the tag - blended the bottom portion with Peacock Feathers Distress ink and then added tiny drops of water. Finally stamped the sentiment in Versamark Ink and heat embossed the sentiment with Gold Embossing Powder.

I love this color combo. The pictures didn't do justice at all. They are very cool in real life.

I used the same procedure that I used for the above two cards. The inks I used are Seedless Preserves and Black Soot distress inks.

I hope you liked my Valentine's Day Trio cards. See you soon :)

Here comes the final one. First, I White Embossed the sentiment and dots and later went with Versamark Pen and Heat Embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. Then blended Spun Sugar Distress Ink and that's it!!
