Stamping with Distress Inks

Hello everyone! Good morning to you all. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, just to kick off the Monday blues I'm here sharing a very quick card made for Lawnscaping Challenge: Distress Maniacs. I literally used what I had on my desk, no plan, no designing and no sketching, I just went with the flow! And I had to admit that I had so much fun while making this card :)

I LOVE masking technique! It's really a stress buster and it sharpens your mind also, so when you are bored or when you feel like your mojo is gone, try this technique and I promise you'll be back to your normal may be sometimes a little more creative than expected! :p

CARD DETAILS

I stamped and masked all the images from Stuck on you and Toboggan Together with Distress Inks - Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint, Peacock Feathers, Vintage Photo, Picked Raspberry and Festive Berries. I masked all the images and rubbed Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink on to the background. This created so much texture and interest to the card. I, then flicked some splatters of distress inks, I love adding tiny droplets of ink on my cards! And finally stamped the sentiment with Black Soot Distress Ink. And for the finishing touch I drew along the stamped images with a black permanent marker and stamped a few hearts and distressed the panel with a pair of scissors and dabbed the Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.

And that finishes the card for today. I hope you like it. Thank you so much for stopping by, take care and I will see you soon :)

Sizzix/ Bear Softee

Hello everyone! Do you love teddy bears or bear softees? When I was a little girl, I had a few but I never played with them! I had many Barbie dolls - my sissy and I had great memories with dolls. We used to sit in a corner, arrange the doll house and play, sometimes we give bath and comb hair.. LOL! I know you guys also had the same memories! But now as we grew up, my nieces (3 1/2 & 2 1/2 years) are doing the same! And now it's time to make dolls for them and I think this Bear Softee is a perfect choice! ;)

When I first saw the 'Bear Softee from Sizzix' I was in love with it because I can make dolls not only for my nieces but also for other kids. I encourage you to check this Sizzix Bigz Plus Die - Bear Softee Item #660888. It is so versatile, you can absolutely create any critter out of it! Though I'm a avid card maker I was able to make around 6 softees!! Can you believe it? It is very easy, you know! You can check my posts by here and here! Anybody can make it!

The Sizzix.co.uk products I used are

1. Sizzix Big Shot Plus Machine Only (White & Gray) Item #660020

I'm not very good at sewing but I love how this softee turned out!! You can check the making of this softee here.

I recycled an old t-shirt to make this softee! :)

Cute Father's Day Card with Happy Little Stampers!

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another video for Happy Little Stampers. In this video I'm going to show you how to create a 'Cute and Fun Father's Day Card'! Why always make some rustic and manly cards for Dad? Dads are cute, they need some sweet and pretty stuff too :p What do you say?

CARD DETAILS

Making this card was very simple! For the panel... I purposefully used the tag die from Sizzix Framelits Die Set 8PK - Tag Collection instead of Rectangular die because I need that embossed part on all four sides. If I had used the rectangular die, it might not fit in the card and I wouldn't be able to achieve the look that I wanted! (You can see in the video what I'm blabbering about)

I love creating little scenes on my cards! The little scenes sure would bring a smile on someone's face! After masking and ink blending the scene with Peeled Paint and Broken China distress inks I added droplets of water. The distress inks does reacts with water and create a nice texture on your card and this would definitely add something to your card.

The elephant from Birthday Friends stamp set is really very cute! I colored the image with Black Soot and Spun Sugar Distress Inks. Water-coloring with distress ink is very easy but you need to practice a little before starting the actual project. I'm not very good with water-colours, I stand a mile away from this but I like try once in a while ;) I added some shimmer with Wink of Stella clear glitter pen. Can you see the shimmer? Love it!

Once everything was adhered I felt something was missing in the card so I added a few yellow sequins from Lawn Fawn. I think the yellow color matches perfectly with the blue and green colors! I stamped the sentiment from the same Birthday Friends Stamp Set. I just wanted to add a sentiment on the inside of the card too so I used 'happy' from Mix Mash and 'Father's day' from Everyday Sentiments.

I'm sharing a video on how I put this card together. You can watch it HERE or at my YouTube Channel. If you like the video please give it a thumbs up, share it with your friends and also don't forget to subscribe to my channel.

Sizzix - Unusual Water-Coloring with an Embossing Folder + Video

Hello everyone! Today is my turn to post a project at Sizzix.co.uk blog. I recently got my Chapter 2 goodies from Sizzix and I'm in love with them! So many gorgeous dies, but there was one embossing folder called 'Rose Vines' designed by Brenda Walton, stole my heart at the very first glance. :)

The technique I used is very simple! Apply the paints in to the grooves of the embossing folder and run it through the Big Shot Plus Machine. This gives a beautiful result. I highly recommend you to use paints to inks. They give a firm and crisp impression with an artistic look! Do not panic when it comes to cleaning of the embossing folder. You can wipe it off with a baby wipe or a wet cloth or with tap water, it's very easy - you know!

I'm sharing a video tutorial showing how to create an Unsual Water Color Backgroung with Embossing Folders and also how to put this card together. Watch it below or on my YOUTUBE CHANNEL

Creating Flowers and Leaves with Sizzix Heartfelt Bigz Die and Easy Water-coloring with Brush Pen Markers + Video

Hello everyone! It's Thursday! that means, it's my turn to post a project at Sizzix.co.uk blog!
I have come up with a different thought inspired by one of my old cards, creating leaves and flowers using Sizzix Heartfelt Bigz Die by Timholtz. There are so many hearts in this die but I chose only two types of hearts from the die! I have also used Camlin Brush Pen Markers to watercolor the die-cuts and it is one of the quickest and easiest ways to color your die-cuts!

I have also made a card processing video for you! If you like the video give it a thumbs up and also don't forget to subscribe to the channel.

Baby Card

Hello friends! It's been a while since I played along with any of the challenges. When I first saw the challenges at CASology WEEK 200: CAS + BLOG CANDY, Congratulations on the milestone. Hope you get many more! and Lulupu June Challenge - Celebrating Babies, I was like.. yeah! why not squeeze in some time to make a card these challenges. You know, I'm not into crafting these days! Only fulfilling my DT commitments because I'm having very bad wrist and I need to see the doctor immediately. I thought the pain killers will reduce the pain but it is getting worse day after day! But some how I managed to make this card and the card + video for Sizzix which will be published tomorrow!

CARD MAKING PROCESS

  • Take a piece of white card stock and apply water here and there with a paint brush
  • Then take Memento Fire Work Spray In Paris Dusk, spray it on to the acrylic block and dab the ink on to the water with a paint brush
  • The ink flows by itself into the water creating an interesting back ground.
  • Let the panel dry and then add tiny white splatters of paint with a small paint brush
  • While the panel was drying, one of my favourite things is to do is doodling/adding any handmade element to my project. So I went ahead and drew the branch and colored it with Camlin Brush Pen in Black (a lovely gift from a lovely friend) and added Clear Wink of Stella Pen for some shimmer
  • Then I punched out a few stars from a Golden Card stock and adhered the branch and stars with glue and foam tape respectively
  • Then for the string thing, I drew a line with Silver Gel Pen
  • Finally stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts with Archival Jet Black Ink and added tiny dots all over the panel with silver gel pen
  • For the finishing touch I added a strip of Gold Foiled Washi Tape at the bottom of the panel and adhered the water colored panel on to the card base with some foam tape

And also I'll be entering this card for Create A Smile 'Favourite' Challenge. I don't own any of their stamps but I would love to get some in future ;)

The photos didn't do any justice to the card, I took these pictures in the evening, was so cloudy today! But this card is very cool in real life. :) I hope you liked the card. Thank you so much for stopping by. Take care and I'll see you soon :)
